Day 1: Bangkok ArrivalYou will probably arrive in Thailand feeling a little bedraggled. Your body will be stiff from air travel and you'll be feeling wiped out by jetlag. It will also take you a while to acclimatise to the heat and humidity in Bangkok. For these reasons, we suggest that you give yourselves a break by booking a Bangkok Starter Pack. This Bangkok trip includes an airport transfer and two nights in a comfortable, central hotel. Breakfast is included. In other words, a Starter Pack will ensure that you have a no-hassle arrival. You'll be collected from the airport arrivals gate and taken directly to your Bangkok hotel. Photographs at the bottom of the page indicate the comfort level of our chosen hotels. If you would like to upgrade, please feel free to ask about alternatives. We will be more than happy to help. |

During this Bangkok trip you'll stay in a simple lodge in the centre of town, within easy walking distance Khao San Road. The accommodation is comfortable yet inexpensive. All of the rooms are large and fully-equipped with air conditioning. The most important sites can be easily reached by taxi or express river boat. Breakfast is of course included. Please note that there is no swimming pool at this hotel. For an extra £28 per person, you can stay in a wonderful boutique hotel, only 5 minutes from Khao San Road, but with the additional bonus of a rooftop swimming pool. Those looking for a touch of true class can opt one of our more luxurious hotels, which are available on request. Just let one of our friendly Laos travel specialists know your preferences when you submit your quote request form. |
Day 2: Go as you pleaseToday is an entirely free day, so you can explore the city at your own pace. Most visitors on a Bangkok trip head for the Grand Palace, the Royal Palace of King Bhumipol, and Wat Phra Kaew, Thailand's most important temple. Wat Po, with its enormous Reclining Buddha, is also within walking distance from your hotel, as is the famous School of Massage. Why not drop in for a herbal massage if you're still feeling stiff from the flight? From here it is easy to take a water taxi to Wat Arun, an architecturally impressive temple on the Chao Phraya River. In short, there is plenty to keep you occupied. Bangkok is many things, but it certainly isn't boring.
