Using the following Cambodia Laos tour modules you can combine your Laos trip with a stay in Cambodia. Modules are short bite-sized travel experiences generally lasting 3-4 days. By combining individual modules you can build your own personal itinerary. The modules we’ve outlined here can be added onto your Laos tour. You can travel from south-Laos overland to Phnom Penh or fly from Pakse to Sieam Reap. If you're only going to north Laos, then you can fly to Cambodia from Luang Prabang or Vientiane.

Mekong, Dolphins and Laos

Route:	Laos border - Stung Treng - Kratie - Phnom Penh

A journey down the mighty Mekong to Phnom Penh; travelling through unspoiled countryside you will experience rural life along one of the world’s most famous rivers. Your tour will begin in southern Laos, from where you will travel through small, traditional villages to the Cambodian/Laos border. If you’re lucky you might even spot the elusive Irrawaddy dolphin. The module ends in Phnom Penh, where you can continue on to see the highlights of Cambodia with Passage through Cambodia, or head south if you just want to chill out on the beach.

Hill tribes and totem poles

This individual Cambodia tour module will take you to the isolated rural countryside in north-eastern Cambodia, a pristine part of Cambodia rarely visited by tourists. In the area around Banlung you will find small mountain villages, home to local hill tribes who all have their own language and culture. You’ll visit a Tampuan tribe with their unusual totem pole graves, and you’ll be able to cool off in the clear waters of tropical waterfalls and lakes.

Passage through Cambodia

Duration:	7 days, 6 nights
Price:	£395 per person - based on 2 people
Departure:	Daily from Phnom Penh
Route:	Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Battambang - Trat - Bangkok

See the highlights of Cambodia with this one week individual Cambodia module which you can add to your Laos tours. Beginning in the capital Phnom Penh, you’ll get a taste of the country’s history before speeding upriver by catamaran to Siem Reap where you can get a taste of Cambodian cuisine in one of the many cosy cafes and restaurants. You’ll have two days to explore the mystical temples of Angkor, one of the wonders of the world, before heading on by boat and car to Cambodia’s second city Battambang. From there you’ll continue via the Thai border at Trat to your final destination Bangkok. If you prefer, you could also 'hop off' this module at Trat and head to the tropical beaches of Ko Chang instead.

Cambodia Laos tours - Hammocks on Ko Chang

Ko Chang is the perfect place for a relaxing 'stopover' on your tour through Laos and Cambodia. The island, in the south-east of Thailand near the coast of Cambodia is easy to get to from Bangkok (where your Laos trip ends) in 5-hour bus ride. Ko Chang has beautiful white beaches, dense rainforest and couple of tropical waterfalls and is pretty well developed with several good resorts. This short trip is a great option if you like a combination of relaxing and exploring, as there are plenty of day trips you can arrange yourself, and beaches to laze on.
