Terrific turtle island- Ko Tao IslandKo Tao Island has all the ingredients necessary for a tropical island paradise: powdery white sand, waving palm trees, azure waters, and exotic marine life. Surrender yourself to the relaxed atmosphere of Ko Tao Island, also known as Turtle Island due to its unusual shape. Although easily accessible from Ko Samui, Ko Tao Island has a much more laid back feel to it. This is a great place to put your feet up in a hammock with a refreshing fruit shake and a good book. Ko Tao has a variety of delightful beaches located around the island, with a few small shops and restaurants, and masses of impressive snorkelling and diving spots.Ko Tao Island is famous for its fantastic diving, and we can highly recommend taking an introductory dive during your stay. Peeking under the water, you will see a rainbow community of clown fish, angelfish and parrotfish. You may also come face to face with huge, plankton-eating whale sharks, and sometimes even harmless nurse sharks. An easy day trip across to the mini-island of Nang Yuan is worth the effort. Here you can walk along the white beaches, swim in one of the many bays and marvel at the remarkable views. The island is ringed by spectacular coral reefs, making a spectacular site from the hike-able view point. |
