For more information on Laos' climate, take a look below;The Laos climate is warm; the temperature is approximately 30°C all year round; however it can rise to 40°C from March to May. The climate is wet and the rainy season runs from June to October; however travel during this time of year is actually no problem at all. During the monsoons, the humidity is much higher than normal causing the temperature to feel much higher than it is and making it more difficult to travel. If you are planning when to travel to Laos, we recommend between October and March; the dryer part of the peak travel season. Temperatures during these months stay around 25°C and there is very little precipitation. |

When to travel to Laos: Rainy season The Laos climate has a south-western monsoon which causes heavy rains almost daily from May until October, usually during late afternoon or evening. Don't allow these heavy rains to ruin your day. The street may turn into small rivers, but all in all the rain and the water are gone before you know it. Unlike rain in the UK where it can drizzle all day, the rains in Laos are usually short and heavy. The rain usually leads to short windows of beautiful skies with dark ominous clouds and amazingly thunder and lightning. Most of all, nature and the paddy-fields are the most radiant shade of green during the rainy season. |
